RWO is proud to support the scientists of the Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Waste Management (ISAH) of Leibniz Universität Hannover in their work on digital twins of advanced sewage treatment plants (AWT). RWO is currently commissioning a small model of their membrane sewage treatment plant CS-MBR in Hanover. Using this system a digital twin will be developed to help ships’ crews to operate in difficult situations.
OSCAR stands for Online Modeling, Simulation and Remote Control System for Environmental Technologies on-board (Cruise) Ships. The idea of the project is to design a tool that enables ship management companies to simulate the AWT of a cruise vessel at shore and help the crew with remote guidance for the operation of the equipment on board. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Further details can be found under www.oscar-cloud.de.
